REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
Project Vida is a non-profit community services organization with multiple program areas serving El Paso County’s low- and moderate-income individuals and families. Program areas include economic development, early childhood development, afterschool programs, affordable housing, service facilities development, and homeless prevention and recovery. It seeks to contract for general technical assistance on grant development, budget development, affiliation agreements, program development, and related strategic planning. Technical assistance is focused on overall strategic development in identifying needs, developing approaches to meet those needs, and securing resources to do so.
Respondents should provide a statement of capacity including, but not limited to, their knowledge and experience in developing funded grants in the above areas, their commitment to the provision of services to low- and moderate-income individuals and families in El Paso County, as well as their proposed retainage budget for the following deliverables:
1. Assist Project Vida staff in developing and maintaining relationships with area funders.
2. Researching, identifying and presenting a minimum of 12 grant Requests for Proposals a year
that meet Project Vida’s identified priorities for its review and consideration in pursuing.
3. Coordinating with Project Vida staff to develop and submit a minimum of 12 unit values as follows:
Narrative of fewer than 20 pages: 1 unit
Narrative of more than 20 pages but fewer than 40 pages: 2 units.
Narrative of more than 40 pages: 3 units
4. Rate for deliverables in excess additional units of service as listed above.
Submittals should include at least two reference letters from agencies that have received funding through respondent’s efforts; such letters do not need to be restricted to local agencies. Submittals will be held in confidence and not released to third parties. It is expected that the contract awardee will not provide support to other agencies for the same or similar purposes that might compete with Project
Vida’s active proposals.
